Butyl – Chemical resistant material provides best resistance to infiltration from gas or water vapors of any glove on the market. Also high resistance to ketonic solvents, concentrated oxidizing acids, concentrated alkalies and salts. Ideal for these jobs: pharmaceutical, chemical, and biotech industries. PVC (polyvinyl chloride) – Exceptional resistance to a majority of fats, oils, acids, caustics, and petroleum hydrocarbons. Leather – Hide or skin of an animal used for leathers such as cowhide, pigskin, goatskin, and deerskin. It has good abrasion and puncture resistance. Also conforms to hand over time, and air can breathe through pores. Durability of the leather used is dependant upon the thickness rather than the location on the animal.
