Our HMIS Labels and Posters will help you train your employees in the Hazardous Materials Information System. Properly labeling hazardous materials and training employees is essential for employee safety. We have Right to Know posters, labels, employee training guides and quizzes, classification data sheets and wallet cards for training and reference.
For additional information, please see OSHA's Hazard Communications page.
Workplaces that involve handling hazardous materials should be equipped with HMIS information. HMIS, which stands for hazardous materials information system, involves labeling materials properly. Whether the materials are being stored or transported, the contained carrying them needs to be labeled correctly and visibly. For labeling any hazardous materials containers, we have a few HMIS materials, including labels and posters. These labels allow workers to check off how much a hazard the material is on the zero-to-four scale (four being the most hazardous) and add the label to a container. Other forms allow a worker labeling a hazmat to be more descriptive, which involves checking off several boxes to describe the hazmat.
