When you need to label a hazardous area, utility and barricade tape does the trick. From red tape spelling “danger” to a potential hazard labeled with “caution,” all types of dangers and hazards can be indicated by adding utility or barricade tape from our store. The most ubiquitous barricade tape is yellow. Typically, this tape displays “caution” in black on a yellow background, occasionally with another word like “construction” or “high voltage” also displayed on the yellow surface. We also carry general barricade tape, as well, and this tape has alternating yellow and black stripes to indicate an obstruction or a potential hazard. Red barricade tape indicates an even greater hazard, as “danger” in black is printed on a red background. For more specific dangers, red barricade tape can be labeled for asbestos.

Barricade tape comes in other colors, as well, but these are for underground work and hazards. Choose from brown, purple, blue, and green barricade tape to indicate or label any below-ground hazards, such as a buried storm drain, power line, or fiber optic cable. Aside from the color, these types of utility tapes have the type of hazard spelled out. Additionally, if you need something sturdier than plastic utility tape, pressure sensitive and cloth utility tapes are some of the products in our selection. Cloth utility tape consists of woven polypropylene in yellow or red, while pressure sensitive tape attaches to the ground to create a reflective line. Pressure sensitive tape, as well, comes in the same variety of colors as ordinary utility tape, including red, yellow, green, and blue.
